72 new cases of COVID-19 reported in SLO County – KSBY San Luis Obispo News

San Luis Obispo County reported 72 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, bringing the county’s total to 1,078 confirmed cases as of July 14.

It’s the county’s largest one-day case total since the pandemic began.

Fourteen people are hospitalized, including six patients who are in the ICU.

Another 359 people are recovering at home and 699 people have recovered.

Recovery information on one patient is listed as “unknown.”

San Luis Obispo County has had five deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Free COVID-19 tests are currently available to the public in Grover Beach, San Luis Obispo, and Nipomo.

The pop-up testing clinic in Nipomo will be open through Thursday, July 16.

https://bt-hypnotise.com/ officials say 402 cases, or about 37% of the county’s total, are the result of the patient having direct contact with a person who tested positive for the virus; 320 cases are attributed to community spread; and, 112 cases are the result of travel outside the county. Another 244 cases are still under investigation.

  • Morro Bay – 13
  • California Men’s Colony inmates – 11
  • Cambria – 9
  • Santa Margarita – 8
  • Cayucos – 7

An additional 17 cases are in communities with fewer than five cases, and the Public https://bt-hypnotise.com/ Department is not identifying those locations. The location of four cases is listed as “unknown.”
