SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health’s COVID-19 report for Tuesday shows 362 new confirmed cases and four new deaths.

Utah now has 44,752 positive COVID-19 cases and 578,549 people have been tested for the disease.

The state’s rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 399 per day.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,677 people in Utah have required hospitalization for COVID-19. Of those, 189 people remain hospitalized.

349 people in Utah have now died of COVID-19. The four new deaths announced Tuesday were all Salt Lake County residents:

  • Male – between 45-64, hospitalized at time of death
  • Female, older than 85, long-term care facility resident
  • Female, between 65-84, long-term care facility resident
  • Male, between 65-84, long term care facility resident

34,764 of Utah’s cases—nearly 78 percent—are considered “recovered.” A case with a diagnosis date of more than three weeks ago, who has not passed away, is considered recovered.
