There are 33 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the Northland on Sunday, according to the Minnesota Department of Health. There was also one new death reported in St. Louis County and one in Carlton County.
The Carlton County death was a person between 80-89 years old and the person who died in St. Louis County was between 70-79 years old. The deaths were among seven newly reported deaths in the state.
Nineteen new cases were recorded in St. Louis County, all of which were recorded in Duluth, according to the county. The county reports a total of 176 active cases.
The median age for people diagnosed with COVID-19 in the county has remained steady at 34.
The number of hospitalizations for COVID-19 patients has dropped to one hospitalized, one in an intensive care unit.
Five new cases were recorded in Carlton County and one new case each was recorded in Lake and Itasca counties.
Statewide, 754 new cases were reported. Another 16,689 diagnostic tests have been completed.
In Wisconsin, Douglas County reported five new cases according to the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. Bayfield County recorded two new cases.
The new cases were among 685 reported statewide. Another 6,099 diagnostic tests have been performed in Wisconsin. There was one newly reported death statewide.
